I like to wear clothes that are functional, will last a long time, and look good. I don’t know about you but I enjoy a cute fit! I have a pretty simple style, but if you’re looking for ideas on what to wear as a woman while hiking, here are some hiking outfit ideas. There’s no backpacking and hiking gear info here so if you’re on the hunt for a new piece of gear, head to this post that shares a complete guide.

If you’ve followed me for a while now, you have probably realized that I like to wear matching sets in the summer season—from brands like Glyder, lululemon, and Vuori Clothing. I’ll pack layers in my bag for when it gets more chilly. For the following set, in particular, I size up in the bra because I am a size 34C and like a little bit more room in my chest. It also feels like I get a little bit more coverage on my midriff when I size up, too. For the leggings, I’m a huge fan of the Sultry legging and High Power legging from Glyder specifically and I buy a size small (for reference, I’m between a size small and medium). I threw on an Eddie Bauer white fleece after the sun went down and had a puffy in my backpack in case I needed extra warmth.
- Glyder Pure Bra
- Glyder Sultry Legging
- Danner Mountain 600s Hiking Boot
- Osprey Ariel 65L Backpack
- Eddie Bauer Quest Fleece 1/4 Zip
I’ve been a long-time lover of Eddie Bauer and I’ve gotten to know which pieces of theirs are my favorite. I’ve had this fleece for four or five years. It is a great lightweight option and I have it in off-white, yellow, and blue. These leggings from Eddie Bauer are on the thicker side (vs. Glyder) and offer a bit more support. I always size down in this brand.

- Eddie Bauer Movement Lux High-Rise 7/8 Legging
- Eddie Bauer Thistle Wide-Cuff Beanie
- Danner Mountain 600s Hiking Boot
- Osprey Packs Kyte 36L Backpack
In the PNW, I love wearing bright colors while hiking so that my outfit pops in front of all the blues and greens. This LSKD tank is a staple of mine because of the color and high cut. I ordered my usual size (small). In terms of shorts, I like a pair that is loose on the thighs and are easy to move in.

- Eddie Bauer Movement Lux High-Rise 7/8 Legging
- Danner Mountain 600s Hiking Boot
- Smartwool Light Hiker Crew Sock
Everyone needs a solid flannel. I’m wearing a thrifted flannel here but I’ve linked a similar flannel from Patagonia. The following outfit is a tried and true look made for any low-key outdoor activity. I wouldn’t hike any more than a couple of kilometers in this though.
- Patagonia Fjord Flannel Shirt
- Glyder High Power Legging
- Coal Headwear Uniform Beanie
- Blundstone 550 Chelsea Boot
I am low-key obsessed with Patagonia fleeces. For good reason though—they are really great quality and are sustainable. I size down these fleeces to an extra small. For this particular style, Patagonia has recently updated the fit slightly. I wasn’t able to find a color that was similar to the red pictured, but if you check every couple of months, new colors are released. If it’s chilly, I’ll almost always wear a long sleeve merino wool top under this fleece so I’ve added that link below.
Thanks for sharing. I read many of your blog posts, cool, your blog is very good.

It’s very straightforward to find out any topic on web as compared to textbooks, as I found this paragraph at this site.
